CLEANSING

In his projection mapping »CLEANSING«, Israeli artist Eyal Gever floods Karlsruhe's palace virtually and flushes its facade away from its impressively simulated masses of water.

Inspired by the daily coverage of the devastating events of war, terror and natural disasters, Gevers' floods recall both the beauty and the fragility of all life. However, "CLEANSING" also equates to the promise of a cleaning process that seems to bring along the possibility of a new beginning.
